BJP Releases ‘Modi Kahin Nahin Jayega’ Song Amid Row Over Kharge’s ‘Baap’ Remark

NEW DELHI, October 28, 2026 – Intensifying the ongoing political and social media war between the ruling party and the opposition, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released a new campaign song titled “Modi kahin nahi jaayega” (Modi is not going anywhere). The musical counter-offensive comes in the wake of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s recent controversial ‘baap’ remark directed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The BJP has launched a massive social media blitzkrieg, with top party leaders, Union ministers, and state Chief Ministers—including Piyush Goyal, Annapurna Devi, Sambit Patra, and Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav—flooding platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram with the music video.

The song, which features various images of the Prime Minister, targets the Congress over its choice of language. The lyrics assert the Prime Minister’s public support: “Aankhein jhuka lo, kaan khol ke sun lo, Modi kahin nahi jaayega” (Lower your eyes and listen carefully, Modi is not going anywhere) and “Tum gaali pe gaali do, woh kaam dikhata hai” (You hurl insult after insult, but he shows his work).

The political row erupted on Sunday during an event in Patna celebrating the 139th birth anniversary of Bihar’s first Chief Minister, Shrikrishna Singh. Responding to an audience member’s comment that the Prime Minister would not go anywhere, Kharge sparked controversy by stating, “Modi ka baap bhi jayega.”

In response to the BJP’s offensive, the Congress party has doubled down on its own social media campaigns, focusing heavily on allegations of electoral malpractice. The official Congress handle shared a video of Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, wherein he accused PM Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar of being involved in “vote chori” (vote theft). Gandhi warned that the leaders are afraid of the public and that the party has placed evidence of these alleged irregularities before the nation.

Additionally, Kharge issued statements accusing the governments of West Bengal, Haryana, Bihar, and Maharashtra of theft, warning that the party would hold those responsible accountable and send them to jail.

This intense war of words and digital campaigns sets the stage for a major political showdown. The INDIA bloc is currently mobilizing for its ‘Dilli Chalo’ march to Ramlila Maidan on November 1, which the alliance has touted as its biggest protest against alleged electoral roll manipulations during the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process.
