JAMMU, October 17, 2026 – In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Skill Development Department of the Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered the immediate transfer and posting of seven officers. The decision has been taken in the interest of the administration to streamline operations across various Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and Polytechnic colleges in the Union Territory.
According to the official order, Javaid Ahmed Ganai, Incharge Deputy Director/Principal Senior Scale, who was under orders of transfer to ITI Tangdhar with the additional charge of ITI Lalpora, has now been posted as Incharge Deputy Director, SIC, Directorate of Skill Development. He replaces Tawheeda Habib and has also been assigned the additional charge of ITI Uri.
Tawheeda Habib, previously the Incharge Deputy Director, SIC, has been transferred and posted as Incharge Principal Senior Scale at ITI Srinagar. She will also hold the additional charge of ITI Pampore. Meanwhile, Abdul Rashid Sheikh, Incharge Deputy Director BOTE, has been directed to hold the charge of Principal Senior Scale, ITI Jammu, in addition to his own duties.
The order also outlined new postings for several Superintendents and Lecturers. Mubashir Hafiz Jan, Superintendent, previously under transfer to ITI Pampore, has now been posted at ITI Lalpora with the additional charge of ITI Tangdhar. Ishfaq Ahmad Reshi, Superintendent of ITI Gurez, has been given the additional responsibilities of ITI Bandipora and ITI Hajin.
Furthermore, Faisal Jamsheed, Lecturer-I (Electrical Engineering), under orders of transfer to Government Polytechnic Kishtwar, has been rerouted to Government Polytechnic Baramulla against an available vacancy. Lastly, Shahid Mehraj Khoja, Lecturer-I (E&C) at Government Polytechnic Shopian, has been transferred and posted at Kashmir Government Polytechnic, Srinagar.
