URI, October 19, 2026 – Bringing much-needed relief to the differently-abled in the frontier region, a total of 253 Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) from the border areas of Uri benefited from a free artificial limbs fitment camp.
The three-day noble initiative was meticulously organized by the Pritam Spiritual Foundation, Poonch, in close collaboration with the Indian Army’s Kalapahar Brigade.
The comprehensive camp, which successfully provided assistive aids to hundreds of beneficiaries, highlighted the enduring spirit of compassion and strong civil-military cooperation in the Kashmir Valley. By facilitating mobility and independence for PwDs, the organizers reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to helping the needy, particularly those living in the remote, difficult-to-access border areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
