SRINAGAR, September 16, 2026 – Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah distributed appointment orders to 55 newly selected candidates of the Combined Competitive Examination during a special function held at the SKICC in Srinagar. The new cohort of civil servants entering the administration includes 28 Junior Scale Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) officers and 27 Accounts Officers joining the J&K Accounts (Gazetted) Service. The event was attended by prominent dignitaries including Minister Javid Ahmed Dar, Advisor to the Chief Minister Nasir Aslam Wani, Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, Additional Chief Secretary Dheeraj Gupta, and senior officers of the General Administration Department, alongside the proud parents and families of the newly appointed candidates.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Abdullah congratulated the successful candidates and their families, acknowledging the immense perseverance, effort, and sacrifices that contributed to their selection. However, he emphasized that receiving their appointment orders marks a new beginning rather than the final destination of their journey.
