The Delhi High Court on Friday declined to grant an urgent hearing on a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking preventive and regulatory measures against the proposed protest by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), scheduled to be held at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi, on June 6.
The petition, filed by Save India Foundation, requested directions to authorities for crowd management, public order, and protection of critical infrastructure. However, a vacation bench of the High Court refused to list the matter for urgent hearing.
The development comes ahead of the planned protest, which has attracted significant public attention in recent weeks. The event is expected to proceed as scheduled, subject to applicable permissions and regulations issued by the concerned authorities.
