RAMBAN, October 7, 2026 – Director Tourism Jammu, Dr. Vikas Gupta, who also serves as the mentor for Ramban district, conducted a comprehensive review on Tuesday to assess the progress of farmer registration under the AgriStack initiative and the ongoing land record digitization in the district.
During his visit, Dr. Gupta meticulously reviewed the ground status of farmer registration on the Jammu & Kashmir Farmers Registry Portal and evaluated the specific operational challenges faced during the registration process. Emphasizing the urgent need to expedite the enrollment of eligible farmers to achieve maximum coverage, he directed concerned officers and field staff to significantly intensify their efforts. He instructed the administration to organize targeted field-level registration and ID creation camps to actively facilitate farmers and ensure completion within the stipulated timelines.
In addition to reviewing the AgriStack implementation, Dr. Gupta conducted field visits to several villages to assess the quality of the digitized land records. A thorough quality check of the digitized jamabandies was undertaken to ensure overall accuracy and completeness. He directed the revenue functionaries to promptly identify and rectify any discrepancies to maintain the highest standards of accuracy in the revenue records.
The mentor was accompanied during the field visits by senior administrative officials, including Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Ramban, Shoket Hayat Mattoo, Tehsildar Batote, Vijay Sharma, and the Naib Tehsildar of Batote, along with other concerned revenue officials and field functionaries.
