SAN FRANCISCO/JAMMU, October 20, 2026 – Charting an inspiring journey from the classrooms of Jammu to the global tech hub of Silicon Valley, 22-year-old entrepreneur Arman Luthra and his college friends have successfully raised $500,000 (approximately Rs 4.8 crore) for their artificial intelligence infrastructure startup, Tilion.
Luthra, who attended school in Jammu, co-founded the ambitious venture alongside friends Md Shahrier Islam Arham, Kazi Fardinul Hoque, and Abdul Basit Tonmoy. The startup recently achieved a major milestone by securing backing from the prestigious startup accelerator Y Combinator, officially joining its Fall 2026 batch. This strategic backing grants the young founding team access to a global network that includes tech giants like Airbnb, Stripe, and Meesho.
Tilion focuses on building critical AI infrastructure. Its proprietary browser engine, Fortress, has already recorded an impressive 100,000 installations and its technology is currently utilized by more than 170 companies. The startup’s primary goal is to empower AI assistants to seamlessly navigate websites and execute complex automated tasks efficiently—such as retrieving documents, booking travel, and filling out online forms.
According to reported benchmark evaluations, Tilion’s technology currently ranks first in ComputeSDK’s Browser Lifecycle benchmark and BrowserArena’s latency leaderboard, notably outperforming established competitors like Browserbase.
Operating as the Chief Executive Officer, Arman Luthra combines his expertise in product development, creative thinking, and business strategy. His entrepreneurial flair was evident in his earlier projects, which included Scribia, an AI study application that amassed 5,000 installations within its first two weeks, and Prism, an interactive platform designed for exploring AI language models. Interestingly, his diverse talents extend beyond tech; a political cartoon crafted by Luthra was even published in an Irish political-science textbook by Gill Education. His academic research has included economic modeling on remittances from Indians in Canada, along with data-science and education-policy work at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, DC.
The core team brings together a wealth of technical prowess. Co-founder Arham, serving as Tilion’s Chief Technology Officer, brings deep expertise in browser infrastructure and engineering. Meanwhile, Fardin and Tonmoy heavily contribute to the startup’s AI systems, research, and product development. Impressively, all four co-founders have co-authored publicly available AI research.
Luthra’s remarkable trajectory—from his foundational school days in Jammu to building a high-growth technology company in the United States—reflects the soaring ambitions of India’s youth, striving to develop the infrastructure for the next generation of global AI applications.
