NEW DELHI, November 5, 2026 – Bullion trading witnessed a sharp upward rally as gold futures climbed by ₹1,947, crossing the psychological milestone of ₹1,45,181 per 10 grams on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX).
Market analysts attribute the surge primarily to strong, sustained spot demand driven by retail buying, coupled with fresh position-building by market speculators. The momentum in domestic futures was further amplified by robust global bullion trends, as international gold prices jumped nearly 2 percent, trading around $4,128 per troy ounce. A weakening US dollar and heightened investor interest in safe-haven assets following recent geopolitical and macroeconomic developments provided additional tailwinds to the precious metal.
While gold futures scaled new heights, market reactions across other precious metals remained mixed. Silver futures experienced a downward correction during the session, witnessing profit-booking after previous sessions of volatile movement.
Traders and bullion experts note that with the festive and wedding season demand picking up pace domestically, spot market engagement remains high, providing a strong price floor for gold even as intraday fluctuations continue on the exchanges.
