UDHAMPUR, September 19, 2026 – Continuing his proactive outreach efforts to resolve public issues at the grassroots level, Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Balwant Singh Mankotia convened a comprehensive Public Darbar, bringing together local residents and officers from various government departments. During the extensive public interaction programme, a large number of constituents participated to directly apprise the MLA of their pressing daily concerns, primarily highlighting infrastructural and administrative issues related to electricity, drinking water supply, road connectivity, educational facilities, school functioning, and pending revenue matters. Giving a patient and detailed hearing to the diverse range of grievances raised by the public, MLA Mankotia immediately directed the concerned departmental officers present at the venue to take necessary, prompt action to ensure their early redressal.
Speaking on the occasion, Mankotia emphasized that such Public Darbars are being organized regularly with the core objective of saving common citizens from the immense hassle of making repeated, time-consuming visits to government offices for their genuine demands. He highlighted a major shift in the administrative approach, stating that instead of making people run from pillar to post, officers from all essential departments are now being brought directly to the doorsteps of the public so that their grievances can be heard and resolved in a timely, transparent manner. The MLA strictly stressed to the officials that genuine public issues must be addressed with utmost promptness and urged all departments to work in close coordination to provide immediate relief to the masses. The successful outreach programme witnessed widespread participation from local residents, underscoring the community’s strong demand for responsive, on-the-spot governance.
