NEW DELHI, October 7, 2026 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday introduced a new, high-energy slogan—”We Will Do It”—to encapsulate the nation’s collective ambition of transforming India into a developed country by 2047. Addressing the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha’ to mark his completion of 25 continuous years as head of government, the Prime Minister stated that visionary policies, hard work, and the united strength of 140 crore citizens will ensure the realization of this dream.
Speaking on his long tenure in public office, PM Modi expressed profound gratitude to the people of India, BJP workers, and NDA colleagues. “Today, I have completed 25 years of continuously serving as head of the government. I bow before the people of India for their trust in me. For me, people are God; hardworking BJP workers are my strength,” he remarked. He added that while his well-wishers and supporters encouraged him, his critics taught him to look within.
During his address, the Prime Minister flagged the division of society along caste and vote-bank lines as one of the major challenges facing the country. Urging for unity in problem-solving, he emphasized, “When a farmer’s field lacks water, does the problem affect only one caste? When there is no electricity, does darkness fall only on one community? The answer is no. If the problem belongs to everyone, the solution must be for everyone”.
Highlighting the extraordinary transformation the country has witnessed, including lifting 25 crore people out of poverty in a decade, PM Modi stated that there is no reason for India to stop its momentum. The new slogan was chanted rhythmically to reaffirm various national goals. “Viksit Bharat by 2047: We Will Do It. Top 3 Economy: We Will Do It. Self-reliant: We Will Do It. Global Manufacturing Hub: We Will Do It. Hosting the Olympics: We Will Do It. Step into space: We Will Do It,” he chanted, noting that the enthusiasm and confidence of the nation are extraordinary.
Emphasizing that his life’s aim is the selfless service of the country, PM Modi declared, “For me, action is everything; action is my religion. Action for the country, action for the citizens”. He assured the citizens that the assets of his 25 years of experience belong entirely to the nation and its people, vowing that the efforts toward a developed India will not cease.
