Jammu – November 6: Launching a sharp counter-offensive against the opposition alliance, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir president and Rajya Sabha MP, Sat Sharma (CA), announced that the party has rolled out an aggressive and comprehensive mass outreach drive titled ‘Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao’ (Save Democracy, Eliminate Anarchy) across every district of the Union Territory.
Chairing an extensive organizational review meeting at the BJP Headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, Sharma lashed out at the Congress and its INDI Alliance partners for what he termed calculated attempts to manufacture political instability, mislead the public, and undermine democratic institutions through coordinated misinformation campaigns.
Detailing the campaign roadmap, Sharma stated that the party has formulated an expansive action plan comprising district-level Padyatras, Yuva Sammelans (youth conventions), community town halls, and Assembly constituency-level intellectual conferences with prominent citizens across Jammu and Kashmir. He noted that these mass platforms will take the facts directly to the grassroots and expose deliberate falsehoods surrounding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and allied administrative exercises.
The meeting undertook a granular review of on-ground operations being driven by party office bearers, Morchas, sectoral departments, and grassroots organizational mandals. Party leaders were instructed to ensure complete booth-level mobilization to counteract opposition narratives effectively.
The high-level organizational conclave was attended by J&K BJP vice president Rekha Mahajan; general secretaries Baldev Singh Billawaria, Sanjita Dogra, and Gopal Mahajan; secretaries Arun Sharma and Pawan Sharma; treasurer Prabhat Singh Jamwal; office secretary Tilak Gupta; media in-charge Dr. Pardeep Mahotra; alongside district presidents, morcha chiefs, and senior party functionaries. Proceedings were conducted by Baldev Singh Billawaria, followed by a formal vote of thanks delivered by Gopal Mahajan.
