RAMBAN, November 3, 2026 – A tragic road accident occurred early Tuesday morning when a passenger vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into a gorge in the Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in the death of one person and leaving two others injured.
The incident took place near the Chaka Sarbagni Bus Stand. According to local officials, the driver of a Tata Sumo lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a sharp curve, causing it to roll off the road.
Rescue teams and local authorities rushed to the spot immediately after receiving information about the accident. The rescue operation, which was still underway at the time of reporting, managed to safely retrieve the two injured passengers. They have been shifted to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment.
Unfortunately, one person succumbed to the injuries sustained in the crash. The identity of the deceased is yet to be established by the authorities, and the police have taken cognizance of the incident to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.
